I did not like the film because I found it waaay to unrealistic - I mean there is no place where 2 people just go off to live with a child and the laws are perfectly okay with that. But I really like to book so far, it uses an amazing vocabulary - but I’m guessing it’s partly because of the translator’s credit.
Side note: It was really difficult to concentrate on Maisie, since my mind was still boggled because of We Were Liars. I managed to read 120 pages of it, and surprisingly, I like it so far. (It is surprising as I didn’t like the film version of it.) I will do it again in April - hopefully with less other stuff to do meanwhile.
Hour 23, the hour of magic mites, dust devils and tiny sleep beasts tugging at your eyelids. Bat them away with a book. Stand up and yawp - don't yawn. You are so very, very close. This is YOUR #readathon. You have got this sewn up. Now, naps are fine and dandy, but don't let the mites, devils and beasts stop you from achieving that goal. Open the window, check out the new day and turn the next page. We are so proud of you! You got this! Chris #teamshakespeare
I seriously hope that you work with words because damn, you need to write books or inspirational messages and paint the world with your words! Also, getting some fresh air might be the best idea right now.
Hour 19, the darkest hour. The scourge of the drooping eyelids. The terror of the stifling yawns. Pfft! This is nothing, nothing. You got this. Okay, you're down, you're a little drowsy... but wait... you feel it... life, returning. Pick up that book, turn that page. There's a new dawn coming and it ain't gonna catch you snoozing. You own this. Read on! The force is strong with this one! Chris #teamshakespeare
Side note: Tonight was quite busy as the Journey to the End of the Night also took place now. It is an annual game of tag I always attend, so I lost a lot of reading time while I was running around in the city. Let’s see if I can catch up a bit.
